Puerto Rico Earthquake 2010 - There are reports that an earthquake has hit Puerto Rico in the early hours of this morning (Sunday), with a magnitude of 5.7, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The city of Moca was at the epicentre of the quake.
UK Today News reports that in an interview with CNN, a nurse at the local hospital said she was treating a patient at the time of the quake when they felt the building shake, followed by only a brief moment of “fear and confusion.”
Some power was out but has already been restored and there are no reports of any injuries or damage to buildings. This seems to be one in a line of recent earthquakes in South America following quakes in Chile and Peru.
